With a proud tradition of fair and honest trade, the members of the Unicorns Faction pride themselves on their reputation for making deals. Its people are bound together by a mutual appreciation of profit. As a loose affiliation of trading merchants, they have a tendency to attract individuals and wanderers to their lands. The Faction holds the Isle of Mauritania and has governance of the main trade point of Rockholme that borders Albion, Cymrja and Caledonia. The Unicorns are a varied and well-travelled people and many have picked up some unusual and unique items in their wanderings throughout the Heartlands.
The Unicorns are a mixed nation comprising many races and
creeds. They are bound together by their loyalty to each other and, some
would say overwhelmingly, by their love of wealth and profit. Trade is
the lifeblood of the Unicorns and this has led to their mercenary and
avaricious reputation, which is sometimes, though not often, undeserved.
For most of their history the Unicorns have been a loosely bound republic.
In recent years, however, they chose to become a monarchy but this move
has not affected their characteristic free speech and individuality, nor
their dislike for ceremony and formality.
The Unicorn Faction once lived on a floating island shielded from all eyes by powerful magic but recentlty this reappeared and anchored its self in the south of the Gryphons lands. Mauritania is now a series of islands inhabited by the unicorn nation. The people of the land are joined by their pride and reputation as trades men and women. Able to provide any and all goods at a price. The unicorns also hold Rockholme a contested vilage built around an ancient dwarven hold that as become a trade emporium that borders the lands of cymrja, Ablion, and Caledonia.
